The 9jApps Microsoft App Competition: How can I Participate and be a winner?

   If you are very good when it comes to Programming of Applications or if you are a talented App developer, I will like to introduce you to the 9jApps Contest powered by Microsoft. The 9jApps contest is an app development contest for Windows 8 and Windows Phone applications. The contest is designed to empower local App developers to take advantage of Microsoft’s new tools and resources to develop appealing, astonishing and relevant apps for the Windows 8 or Windows phone platform, making use of Visual Studio 2012 and the Windows Phone SDK, in addition to the Windows Azure SDK. The 9jApps competition is open to only developers residing in Nigeria and registered as publishing apps from Nigeria on the Windows 8 and/or Windows Phone Store.

   

This contest welcomes all inspiring idea about developing new apps on the windows platform and note that Registration is open from now till June 12, 2013. Listed below is the brief details for anyone who wants to participate in this contest –

1. Register on the competition website, by clicking here. 
2. Develop an App for the Windows 8 or Windows phone Platform. 
3. Submit the name of your App with full details here. 
4. Publish your app in the respective app store on or before June 14, 2013. 
5. 10 Apps from each category will be shortlisted as FINALISTS. 
6. FINALISTS will feature in a show n tell event where the winners will be determined.

Prizes for Winners

Windows 8 Category

• The First Place Winner will be awarded a 2013 Kia Rio automobile;
• The Second place winner will be awarded a cash prize of N750,000.00.
• The Third place winner and the next four winners will each receive 1 Windows 8 device

Windows Phone Category

• The First Place winner will be awarded a cash prize of N750,000.00.
• The Second place winner will be awarded a cash prize of N500,000.00.
• The Third place winner and the next four winners will each receive 1 Windows Phone device.
