New Android 5.0 Lollipop Statue now in Google HQ, California, USA

After so many months of using the Android 4.4 Kitkat, Google has announced the next Android version which is the Android 5.0 Lollipop popularly known as 'Android L'. It's a custom for Google to name its Android versions after Sweets and sorts of, we've seen & heard of Cupcake, Jellybean, Ice cream sandwich and so on like that. With the revealing of the newest Android OS, Google has constructed a new statue for the Android 5.0 in its headquarter in California, United States.

As you can see in the image above, the Lollipop statue is the green Android robot mascot holding a giant lollipop. This marks a subtle change from previous statues, which all turned the robot itself into the specific confectionery item that any new Android version was named after. The last statue before this was that of the Android 4.4 Kitkat (pictured below).

According to the latest information at hand, Android 5.0 Lollipop will come on the new Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 pre-installed while it will be rolled out to the older Nexus devices and other Flagships as OTA (Over-The-Air) updates. More information about Android 5.0 Lollipop and the devices it will come pre-installed on, will be available soon. Stay Tuned !
