Sony officially announces the Xperia Z4 with 5.2 inch FHD, 3GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop

Sony Mobile has just put out a press release to officially announce its latest flagship, that is the Sony Xperia Z4. According to Sony, the Xperia Z4 will feature a 5.2 inch FHD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and it will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810, being supported by 3GB of RAM along with 32GB internal storage, with optional removable storage capacity via the microSD slot. A 20.7MP camera is on the rear of this new flagship with a wide angle 5.1MP front selfie camera. The battery power is not bigger than what most Smartphones have presently => 2930mAh and just as expected, the pre-installed Operating System is the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

When it comes to the physical body colour of the Xperia Z4, there are various colour options to pick from, ranging from White, Black, Copper to Aqua Green. Also being IP6 certified for dust and IP5 & IP8 certified for water, meaning that the Xperia Z4 is protected against "Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction." It also means that the phone can be submerged to 4.92 feet for as long as 30 minutes and emerge unscathed. This is what I respect Sony for, they produce robust premium technology Waterproof, bulletproof and fireproof Smartphones. If you need a tough water-friendly Smartphone, the best bet is always Sony.

The Xperia Z4 is 6.9mm thin, weighing 144 grams, and features a metal frame. It is .4mm thinner than Xperia Z3 and it also weighs 8 grams less. Its metal frame is put through a treatment to increase the shine. Also new with the Xperia Z4 is a "cooking mode" added to the rear camera, which helps users take better looking shots of delicacies.

Some accessories for the phone were revealed, including a waterproof Cover Window that lets you view important information on the screen while still protecting the handset. This will be available in the same four colors as the Xperia Z4, priced at the equivalent of $59. A desktop holder will also be offered, which will dock the phone and recharge it.

What we know about the availability is that the Sony Xperia Z4 will be available later this summer but we don't know anything about the price yet. Don't even expect it to be cheap because it is a new flagship and its predecessor is even selling within the range of $400-$480 presently on eBay.
