BlackBerry Priv - First Android Smartphone from BlackBerry; Specs, Features, Price and Pics!

Just a couple of weeks ago, we saw so many picture leaks, specs leaks and rumours about the first pure & original Android Smartphone from BlackBerry, that is the BlackBerry Priv. There is no doubt that the phone is now a reality, I remember seeing how it was handled and reviewed by a Redditor, not only that, it even showed up officially on the BlackBerry online store some days ago when I opened the BlackBerry World. Now it's official, the BlackBerry Priv is the only BlackBerry phone that is running Android.

If you haven't seen a brief of this device. I'll like to tell you that the Phone's got a very nice design with a sliding QWERTY keypad on it, bringing back the old abandoned Sliding design on older Handsets. Also, Priv runs on a Snapdragon 808 SoC CPU with 3GB RAM, featuring a brilliant 5.4-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 at 540 DPI. The rear camera is really cool at 18MP (offering features like 4k video at 30 fps, OIS, and Phase Detect Auto Focus) while the front camera looks very small, just 2MP on a late 2015 high-end Smartphone. Can you imagine? Well, moving on to the battery, the BlackBerry Priv features a 3410mAh battery which is expected to last for 22.5 hours when used heavily.

    1. Android is just irresistible for BlackBerry... Everyone wants to manufacture an Android device, apart from Apple. *smiles*

  2. Does this mean the end of BB O.S? I really love the O.S 10, i'm not an android fan and to some extent i don't welcome this. But as a die-hard blackberry fan, i'll get a hand on this soon and then i'll really be able to comment.

    1. Hi Raphael,

This is not the end of BB10. Manufacturing an Android OS BlackBerry doesn't disturb BlackBerry from manufacturing other BlackBerry OS Smartphones.
