Just a couple of weeks after there were reports that Samsung may start selling refurbished units of its flagship Smartphones, the South Korean company has started offering such refurbished models in the United States. A quick look at Samsung USA's website reveals a new section dubbed Samsung Certified Pre-Owned Phones which is exactly the expected refurbished Phones with their various prices.
Currently, the tech giant is selling refurbished models of the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, and the Galaxy Note 4. These units have been completely refurbished by Samsung engineers and they also include new headphones and chargers in the box. Samsung is providing the same one-year warranty on these refurbished units as a new device.
Keep in mind that none of the units is unlocked and you can save up to $265 on a purchase, but the payment has to be made up front. But why would you even need to purchase any of these pre-owned Smartphones when you can even get a brand new for the same price or even cheaper on eBay? Well, it's up to you to decide but I noticed the price of a new Samsung Smartphone on eBay is almost cheaper even than the refurbished ones Samsung is selling.
What do you think about this new move by Samsung? Selling refurbished Phones to customers. Is it cool or not? Let's hear from you! Use the comment box to share your opinions and contributions. Cheers!
