At its grand event today, Acer has announced the Aspire S 13, a new powerful & sleek
laptop that wants to compete with the likes of the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air and Dell's XPS 13. Most importantly, it wants to do all that while being
significantly cheaper than the mentioned competitors. A cool move from Acer here!
The Aspire S 13 will have a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display, which you can
choose from either the touch-enabled version or the no-touch version. You can configure it with up to 8GB of RAM
as well as up to a 512GB SSD, and an optional battery will make it
allegedly last a whopping 13 hours on a charge (the default power pack
only nets you 9 hours of usage). Powering the sleek & slim machine are Intel's 6th
generation Core processors (ranging from core i3 and i5 to the biggest, i7), and
it will have a USB Type-C port, two 'normal' USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, and an
SD card slot. Here is the official introduction video of the newly announced Laptop for your viewing pleasure -
It will be offered in Colours - Obsidian Black &/ Pearl White, when it goes on
sale in May with a starting price of $699. This price is much more cheaper than that of the Apple MacBook Air 13" and Dell XPS 13, both with four-figure prices. The Aspire S 13 weighs 1.4kg and it's just 0.57 inches thin and uses diamond cut edging around the
sides and touchpad to give it an elegant look. The design uses aluminum
on the deck and bottom but a unique nano imprint lithography on the lid
to provide texture and a firm grip.
A perfect laptop for me, I must say. What do you think about this new Laptop PC? Would you buy it when it's out? Make use of the comment box to drop your contributions and don't forget to share this post with others. Cheers!
